Modern Slavery Statement

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires large UK businesses to publish a statement describing the activities they are undertaking to prevent slavery and human trafficking in their own business operations and supply chain.

Bannerman Company Ltd strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. We have and will continue to be committed to implementing systems and controls aimed at ensuring that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our organisation or in any of our supply chains.

Environment Policy

Protecting the Environment

Bannerman Company Ltd is committed to the protection and enhancement of the environment. This is a major and continuing priority.

Environmental responsibility is inherent in the jobs of all our managers. Environmental assessment is incorporated in all acquisitions: be it building, equipment or machinery.

Our working practices and procedures will be regularly reviewed to minimize the risk of environmental damage, particularly in our transport operations. We aim to meet all the government and legislative requirement, and where none exist we will set ourselves high standards.

All new products and processes will be evaluated to assess their environmental impact and we will seek to conserve natural resources by ensuring the responsible use of energy and materials. We will promote recycling and reuse wherever appropriate.

Environmental policy should have regular update to coincide with technology developments e.g.; reduced fuel emissions.

Defining the Policy

The ultimate responsibility for determining and ensuring the implementation of environmental policy rests at Bannerman Company Ltd management level.

The responsibility of determining the policy is shared between directors and the company Health & Safety Officer. It is the role of the Health & Safety Officer. It is the role of the Health & Safety Officer to make sure environmental policy is implemented in all the working business interests of Bannerman Company Ltd.

Minimizing Impact

Bannerman Company Ltd endeavors to minimize any adverse impact upon the environment from the production and distribution of the company’s products or general working practices.

All new trucks are purchased are of the most recent standard and below the minimum required fuel emissions.

Production wast (minced prawn shell) from our seafood operation are transported to our hill farm and spread on reclaimed land to improve the grass yield.

All packaging used for our products such as cardboard boxes for scampi, are reused whenever possible.

All wasted cardboard is picked up weekly from various Bannerman Company Ltd sites. This has the benefit of reducing waste costs and helping recycle products.
